Saint Eden Launch Shoot

I met Tim, Saint Eden’s manager, whilst on tour with Sarah Darling earlier in the year. He’d got me involved with some other projects in the year for other artists, but I was pretty amped for this; a new band, looking for visuals that would help establish them as they launch themselves!

The guys were originally looking for just a few raw live performances and some social media content, but I pitched the idea of an EPK-like video, similar to the “Artist Portrait” that I’d created for Adée earlier in the year. I just like capturing artists in their natural element.

I’d rocked up to the venue a bit earlier than expected, but I found Sammy and Bobby (Saint Eden) chilling outside waiting for Tim. It gave us time to get past the pleasantries and just talk about stuff, the the characters of Brixton that also seemed to wanna get involved on the conversation.

Once, we got inside the studio, I think we spent way too long talking about hangovers and the best way to combat them, before the boys started jamming and I got to filming.

Along with everything else that we shot, I also whipped up a blooper reel of Saint Eden’s attempts at getting the script right for the social media videos. The wild thing is that it was the thing that needed the least editing, and was just an afterthought, but I was in the studio with a producer a few months later, he told me that video made him laugh a lot.

People love the real shit.
